The New Goldendale Observatory will reopen in November, 2019.

  • The facility will be closed for the remainder of 2018.​
  • Starting April 5th, 2018, Observatory Spring/Summer 4pm Solar and 8:30pm Evening shows are expected to continue Thursday through Sunday at the nearby Stonehenge Memorial. Portable telescopes and expert staff will be available during these shows. Reservation requests are not currently being granted. More visiting information about this alternate site will be posted soon.

* The Maryhill Stonehenge War Memorials are open 7 days a week from Sunrise to Sunset for non-observatory functions.

  • ​​​Goldendale Observatory remains closed for upgrades but will reopen soon. Temporary operations continue at the nearby Maryhill Stonehenge campus: Please monitor this page for abrupt schedule and location changes.
  • September 2019 will be our final month of operations at the temporary Maryhill Stonehenge campus. No observatory programs are anticipated for the month of October 2019 as we prepare to open our new facility.
  • Individual and small group drop-ins are welcome at showtimes. Please contact Observatory staff to request visits for group sizes larger than 10.​
  • Presentations consist of outdoor telescope viewing and indoor classroom sessions. 
  • Bring warm clothes, even during Summer: Stonehenge campus can be cold and windy.
  • Animals are never permitted, with the exception of vested and documented service dogs.
  • Admission is Free. 
  • Be sure to check the weather & moon and special events pages when making plans to visit.​​
  • Indoor restrooms are not available at the Stonehenge campus. Outdoor units are provided.
  • Presentations and viewings will not restart nor be extended for latecomers and the facility does not remain open after hours. Camping and overnight parking are never permitted.
