In 2020 and beyond, the NEW Goldendale Observatory will be operational; new employment positions are anticipated which will leverage new facility capabilities. This is Goldendale Observatory at its very best and we are looking for talented staff who will elevate the learning center to its fullest potential.

We are pleased to offer our first non-seasonal, year-round Interpretive Assistant position. The appointment reports directly to the facility administrator and is expected to consist of four 10-hour days, Thursdays through Sundays, beginning December 2019 or January 2020. Workday responsibilities include the indoor and outdoor delivery of scientific programs, basic office work, and limited retail services. An ability to work until Midnight, speak to large groups, and operate advanced electronics is a must. This is not an academic nor research position, and formal background in astronomy or other sciences is not required.
